Chess Club (Mr. Schuh)
Do you like to learn about other people’s customs, traditions and languages? Then this club is for you! Multicultural Club is going on a FREE FAMILY friendly field trip and EVERYONE in your family are welcome.
Our 4th field trip is on Friday, November 1st. I will meet you at
the main entrance at 5:45 p.m. and we will take a group picture before entering the festivities.
The event is from 5:00-8:30 p.m. We will be meeting at the Santori Library located at 101 S. River Street in Aurora, IL. The event will allow us to understand the Day of the Dead, a Mexican celebration of their ancestors. There will be crafts, games and refreshments for all. We will be able to view the ofrendas, a tribute to an ancestor who has passed away, that local families and organizations have made.
Entrance fee is FREE!
How do you sign up? Just come to Santori Library on 11/1 at 5:45 p.m!
Hope to see you there for a night of learning celebrating our 4th Multicultural Field Trip of 2019! Please contact me with any questions.

More information and applications will be forthcoming in the Spring. Mr. Sabovik leads the Wise Owl Watchers. Please see the link below for more information about Wise Owl Watchers.

The Student Technology Assistance Team (STAT) is a program that helps students and staff with technology. This team is made up of a bunch of 4th and 5th grade students. STAT gives weekly tech tips to everyone about technology, from how to log on to your laptop/Chromebook, to how to get on websites with shortcuts. The STAT team also helps with technology problems or assists students in classrooms. We teach lessons to students with Bloxels, coding, and robotics and help teachers too. We educate kids about digital citizenship too! We share books about digital citizenship and do activities and teach Common Sense Media to help all grades. We hope to make Owen a better place, learn, and have lots of fun! Mr. Sabovik and Ms. Randell run STAT Club. Go to our website to learn more about STAT Club.
